Coach - Coaching Services

I work with individuals, focusing on their strengths, to assist with the Executive Functioning challenges of organization, planning and time management. This is done as a partnership, as we work together to identify steps to proceed towards their goals. Not though leaps and bounds but many little steps. Self-advocacy is an important trait to be fostered to understand and make use of accommodations and modifications that will help improve Executive Functioning. By focusing on strengths, compensatory techniques and modifications, learning, business practices, and parenting become more positive. As a partner in the process, those coached can become empowered as they navigate their future. Experience: ICF and Mentor Coach certified. Additional ADHD Training with Jody Sleeper-Triplet and Alan Graham. Thirty years as a School Psychologist, 20 at the High School Level. Coaching college students for the Edge Foundation. I have been coaching individuals with ADHD, Life and Transitional issue for seven years.

Family Doctor - Private Practice

As a primary care physician I know first-hand the frustrations of trying to take care of ADHD patients in the context of a busy general practice and while some primary care physicians enjoy this challenge, I know many do not. Others feel that they don’t have adequate resources, especially for the 50% of ADHD patients with co-morbid diagnoses. Focus-MD is a growing network of medical practices created to serve these patients with individualized care based on the AAP and AACAP guidelines. We can be your trusted partner to make sure your patients get the standard of care you expect for them and as fellow primary care docs we value communication with the patient’s medical home! We offer testing with the only device that is FDA cleared to both increase diagnostic accuracy in ADHD and assess treatment effect. This testing not only helps confirm the diagnosis but also can help avoid over diagnosis and overmedication.

Education Specialist/Tutor - Educational Program

LearningRx in Marlboro uses personal trainers and fun, challenging mental exercises to improve the skills the brain uses to learn and perform. The company works with clients of all ages who want to improve cognitive performance and, while LearningRx does not diagnose or treat ADHD, autism, or TBI, we have improved the cognitive performance of thousands with these diagnoses. For example, based on the before and after test results of 5,416 LearningRx clients with ADHD, broad attention skills improved an average of 24 percentile points, and IQ scores improved by an average of 15 standard points, following our program*. LearningRx brain training is different than tutoring in that tutoring works on re-teaching information that wasn't grasped the first time around, while LearningRx improves the core cognitive skills (memory, attention, visual processing, auditory processing, logic & reasoning and more) so that new information can be more easily grasped the first time it is presented. Trainers work one-on-one with clients in a fun, encouraging environment, doing interactive exercises that train core brain skills to work faster and more efficiently than before. *These results are based on past LearningRx clients, and results may vary. To learn more about research and results visit: www.learningrx.com/results.

Psychologist - Clinic

Many families struggle with problems related to learning, emotions, or behavior. After a free, brief phone consultation, we can determine the appropriate next steps, whether a psychoeducational evaluation, family counseling, individual therapy, or a referral. I will help your family figure out the problem and the steps you need to take, to get on the right track. My approach is grounded in research, gained from post-doctoral work at the Institute for the Study of Child Development and The Gifted Child Clinic. I am also affiliated with The Dyslexia Center of Princeton. I use a cognitive-behavioral and family-systems approach to help children and families who are struggling with emotional, behavioral, or learning problems. This can include problems due to ADHD, executive functioning deficits, learning disabilities, depression, anxiety, or adjustment problems. Treatment typically consists of 8 - 12 weekly one-hour sessions. I also specialize in giftedness, including evaluations, educational recommendations, and treatment for emotional/behavioral problems common for gifted and "twice-exceptional" children. Other areas of specialty include treatment for toileting problems (such as enuresis and encopresis) and impulse control disorders, such as trichotillomania (hair-pulling) and skin picking.
