Welcome to CHADD’s e-Communities

CHADD’s e-Communities

Guidelines, shared values, rules of engagement... call 'em what you will. Here's the FINE PRINT about CHADD’s e-Communities.

CHADD’s e-communities are established and maintained to encourage open, useful exchange of information for and by people affected by AD/HD. Our assumption is that participants will behave with integrity, courtesy, decency and respect for others. If you see a post that you feel violates any of these guidelines, please notify us by e-mail. Our goal is to respond within 24 hours.

The first thing you need to know is that YOU AGREE TO PLAY BY THESE RULES, EVEN IF YOU DON'T READ THEM. By participating in a CHADD e-community, you agree to abide by the guidelines we establish, now and in the future. We can - and we will - suspend or permanently revoke anyone's access to these communities for any reason at any time if, in our judgment, that person's actions or messages violate these Guidelines.

While the lawyers write up the legal version, here's a short review of your obligations and ours, as they relate to CHADD e-Communities. These guidelines are based on common sense, common law and common courtesy and CHADD reserves the right to amend, expand or change any or all of the following at any time.

WE WILL
-moderate these exchanges, although we will not screen, monitor, edit, or review their content. We may monitor or remove any content at any time, without notice, should we believe it violates our Guidelines, but we are under no obligation to do so. We will remove, without notice, messages posted in languages other than English and off-topic messages.

WE ARE
-not responsible for the truth, completeness, objectivity, or usefulness of any content posted on the e-Community discussions nor for screening material for libel, invasion of privacy, copyright or trademark infringement, accuracy, or for any other reason.

WE DO NOT
-endorse any content, including postings or replies to postings made by community moderators, just as CHADD does not endorse products, services, publications, medications or treatments.

YOU WILL
-not post (upload, transmit, link to or otherwise distribute or publish) obscene, hateful, abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, libelous or otherwise objectionable materials. If you do, we'll take it down and take action to keep you from doing it again.

-not use this area for commercial purposes. This means you will not post (upload, transmit, link to or otherwise distribute or publish) any content that includes, without limitation, advertisements, promotions, commercial solicitations or other forms of solicitation of any kind.

-observe others' right to privacy by not posting content that invades or violates any privacy or publicity right.

-not post material to which you do not own the legal copyright.
As noted, this is the short version of the Guidelines by which CHADD's e-communities are managed. For detailed suggestions on participation and behavior in the CHADD e-communities, see CHADD Website Policies
