Finding Support
This video was produced expertvillage
Confused, isolated, overwhelmed, frustrated, scared, sad, angry,
hopeful, disappointed, proud, supportive, resilient, guilty,
disorganized, stressed. Those are some of the emotional ups and downs
that parents often struggle with. When you are isolated and don't know
where to start the best thing that you can do for yourself and others is
to be part of the CHADD community both online and in-person.
LOCAL CHADD AFFILIATES
CHADD currently has approximately 200
local volunteer-managed chapters and support groups nationwide.
Typically, our local CHADD group volunteers are parents' of children and
young adults with ADHD, and some professionals in the community that
want to help. The success of these local groups depends on the energy,
skill, dedication, and consistency of these volunteers. Local,
face-to-face support is available to individuals living in these
communities and who have the benefit of skillful and committed local
CHADD leaders.
If there is not a CHADD group in your area, you may want to consider
starting one.
