1. What is the conference schedule?
• Pre-conference Institutes (optional, at an
additional fee) are scheduled on Thursday, November 11, 9:00 a.m.
– 12:00 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• The General Conference opens
on Thursday, November 11, 3:30 p.m. with an orientation for
fist-time attendees and an Exhibit Hall Grand Opening Reception followed
by the Opening Plenary session, and continues with education
sessions - Friday and Saturday, November 12 and 13, 8:30
a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• First Time Attendee Orientation - Thursday, November 11, at
3:30-4:30 pm.
• Grand Opening Reception - Thursday, November 11, 4:30-6:30
p.m.
• Complimentary lunch - Friday, November 12, 12:00-1:30
p.m.

3. What is the room rate?
A special rate of $185
single/double occupancy has been negotiated at the Hyatt for the CHADD
Conference. Please identify yourself as a CHADD conference attendee
to receive the discounted rate. The discounted hotel rates are for
CHADD conference participants only and are available during the dates of
November 10-13, 2010. The discounted rates will be available for
reservations until October 18, 2010, or until the CHADD room block fills
up. Please make your reservations early. In order to get the
special rate, please tell the reservation clerk that you are attending
the CHADD Conference.

4. I would like to register for the conference. How much
does it cost and how can I do this?
Family members who register on-line for the 22nd Annual CHADD
International Conference by September 15, are eligible for the
discounted rate of only $225.
5. How much can I expect to spend on my meal costs in
Atlanta?
There are numerous places to dine at the Hyatt. There are
also a number of inexpensive restaurants located nearby. CHADD will
provide a complimentary continental breakfast on Friday and a
complimentary lunch and afternoon snack on Saturday.
6. What does my registration fee include?
The registration fee includes all registration materials, attendance at
the general conference, Thursday Grand Opening Reception and Opening
Keynote, all education sessions and events on Friday and Saturday, lunch
and refreshment break on Friday and breakfast on Saturday. The Pre
Conference Institutes are at an additional fee. Registration fee does
NOT include transportation, lodging, food, or incidental expenses.
You must make your hotel and travel arrangements -- and pay for them --
yourself.
7. When should I plan on arriving in Atlanta?
There are a number of Pre Conference Institutes. For details,
please review the schedule
at a glance. The first time attendee orientation opens
the conference on Thursday, November 11, at 3:30-4:30 p.m. This is
a very helpful session for first time conference attendees. The general
conference officially kicks off with the Grand Opening reception on
Thursday, November 11, at 4:30 -6:00 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall, followed
by the opening keynote by Dr. Russell Barkley.
8. Where should I stay?
The CHADD 22nd Annual Conference is being held at the Hyatt
Regency. CHADD has negotiated special rates for sleeping rooms and
attendees at the Hyatt Regency. Visit the Hotel
and Travel link for more details. In order to
get the special rate, please tell the reservation clerk that you are
attending the CHADD Conference.
9. What airports are the closest to Atlanta?
• Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International -

10. Once I arrive at the ALT airport, what ground transportation
do I have?
The Links Shuttle fee is $16 one way and $28 round trip. It
runs every 10 minutes and 40 minutes after the hour. Phone:

• MARTA is Atlanta’s public train system. It connects to
the baggage terminal at the airport and is 15 minutes to the Hyatt
Regency, Peachtree. Fee: $1.75 per ride. When Traveling via MARTA from
the Airport: Take the northbound train to the Peachtree Center Station
stop, one stop north of the Five Points transfer station. Exit the train
and take the escalator up towards Peachtree Center Mall. Once inside the
mall, follow the signs to the covered walkway into the hotel.
• Taxis are $30 one way plus $2.00 for each additional
passenger.
Driving Directions from the Airport:
When traveling northbound on 75/85, driving from
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (12 miles), or traveling on
Interstate 20 west and eastbound:
Take 75/85 North, take the right-hand exit 248-C (International Blvd.).
Turn left onto International Blvd. Turn right at the third traffic light
onto Peachtree Center Avenue. Hyatt Regency Atlanta's Motor Lobby
entrance is one block on the left.
When traveling southbound on 75/85, and traveling from GA 400:
Exit 249-C (Williams Street). Go straight off exit. At the fourth
traffic light, turn left onto Harris Street. Then take the third left
onto Peachtree Center Avenue. Hyatt Regency Atlanta's Motor Lobby
entrance is on the left.
11. What are the on-site registration hours?
We encourage you to pre register to avoid standing in long lines. Upon
arrival at the hotel, please come to the Hyatt Regency Registration Area
marked pre registration to pick up your conference packet and name
badge, and bring your confirmation letter with you. Attendees who do not
receive a confirmation letter may pick up their name badges and
materials at the registration desk. Display of conference name badge is
required for admission to self register at the conference sessions,
activities and exhibit hall.

13. REFUNDS/CANCELLATION: Cancellations must be received in writing and must be
postmarked by September 15, 2010 to qualify for a refund. A $50
administrative fee will be deducted from the total registration fee.
Substitutes are always welcomed and no-shows will be billed. You may
transfer your registration fee, minus the $50 cancellation fee, to
another individual by mailing or faxing a written request stating the
person’s name and address. CHADD will contact you both should
additional fees apply to the new registrant. All transfers must be
postmarked by October 15, 2010. All refunds will be processed after the
conference.
First Time Attendees:
1. Are you thinking of attending the CHADD Annual
International Conference for the first time?
Then read these questions so you’ll know how to make the most out
of your conference experience!
2. Do I need to be a member of CHADD to attend? Will I
get much out of the conference if I'm not a member?
We encourage both members and nonmembers to attend the conference.
You will learn and benefit from the information offered at the
conference and meet with experts in the field of AD/HD. The CHADD member
registration fees are much less than the nonmember fees.
3. What if I register now, but then I am unable to
attend? Can I transfer a registration to someone
else?
Yes, you can transfer your registration to another person. You
must inform us of the transfer in writing no later than September 15,
2010.
4. What kinds of things happen during the conference?
• You will learn about ADHD and relevant topics, meet
with world renowned experts, and have opportunities to ask
questions, share and network.
• You will have opportunities to select topics, the type of
session you want from a variety of levels.
• You will connect with peers, experts, parents, scientists,
educators, adults, and advocates.
• You will have access to resources, products and services to
support your needs.
• You will have an opportunity to peruse books at
the CHADD Book Store.
• You will meet the 2010 Hall of Fame recipients who are the
best of the best in ADHD and the Presidential Medal of Honor
Recipients
• You will earn CE (for mental health professionals) and CEU
credits (for educators). Be sure to sign up and select the correct
option for you!
• You will be inspired, come away with tools and skills for
life that you can use at home, at school, and at the office.
• You will be engaged on an emotional, physical, and intellectual
level.
5. How do I decide what sessions to attend?
Review the program
schedule and sessions descriptions and plan your schedule so that
you can attend the sessions most important to you. To help you
select sessions of interest to you, we have identified the sessions by
track/audience, session style and presentation level. Feel free to
choose sessions of interest to you and be sure to schedule breaks and
other rest periods for yourself. The Conference Orientation is a
valuable resource for those attending our conference for the first
time. It is scheduled for Thursday, November 11, at 3:30 p.m. You

6. What is a "plenary"?
Plenary (General) sessions are the keynote address and are of interest
to all attendees, held when no other events or sessions are
scheduled.
7. What if I can't go to a session I'm interested
in?
You can purchase audio
and/or video CD recordings from our website.
8. Where can I get session recordings at the
conference?
A recording company records nearly all sessions at the conference.
A recording order form is included in the registration packet and
is also available at the recording sales desk at the conference and
will be available
later on our website.
9. What should I wear at the conference?
Casual clothes are appropriate. We highly recommend that
you wear comfortable walking shoes. Fall in Atlanta can be chilly
so pack pants and sweaters. The average November Normal High: 64°F;
Normal Low: 43°F; Normal Average: 53°F. Meeting rooms tend to
be chilly so be certain to bring a sweater or a jacket.
10. I am looking for members of my chapter, how can I reach
them? A message board will be located at the Hyatt
Regency Atlanta registration area. Messages for conference
attendees can be posted here. The message board also lists
last-minute changes in room assignments.
