Lunch with Luminaries
|
|
Lunch with Luminaries is YOUR opportunity to eat a delicious lunch with
some of your favorite CHADD stars on Saturday, November 10th from 12
noon to 1:15pm. Each table will have only seven lucky participants
and the Luminary, so everyone will have a chance to interact personally.
Every 15 minutes, the Luminary will move to the next table, so
everyone has time with each of our Stars. Seats for this event are
sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and ONLY 28 SEATS ARE
AVAILABLE!
This year's Luminaries
are:
 Gina
Pera is a journalist and author of a bestselling book on Adult
ADHD that has won four national awards. For the past 12 years, through
her presentations and workshops internationally, Ms. Pera has advocated
for better awareness and treatment standards.

 Chris
Zeigler Dendy is an author, former teacher, school psychologist,
mental health counselor, and director of children's services at a mental
health center in Tallahassee, FL with over 40 years’ experience in
these fields. She is the author of several popular books and videos on
teens with ADHD. Ms. Dendy was inducted into CHADD's prestigious Hall of
Fame in 2006.
 Ari
Tuckman is the author of two books on ADHD. He is a
psychologist in private practice in West Chester, Pennsylvania,
specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, as well as anxiety,
depression, substance abuse, and school/work difficulties. He has given
more than 200 presentations and does a popular podcast about ADHD.

Teen Networking Session: Especially For Teens with ADHD

Teens with ADHD face all the challenges that other teens face--plus
maybe a few more. Join Ari Tuckman for this special
session for teens and talk about how to handle homework (boring),
cleaning your room (annoying), and friends (drama), and even what to do
when your parents drag you to a conference (really?!). Come to this
entertaining discussion so you can meet some other great teens and share
ideas for dealing with all of this stuff and more. You'll be glad that
you did.

from the makers of an exciting new documentary about ADHD.
GIGANTE depicts the life of baseball player
Andrés Torres, 34, whose late-in-life ADHD diagnosis catapulted him
from 10 years in the minors to winning the World Series in 2010 as part
of the San Francisco Giants –and being voted Most Inspirational
Player. Starring his teammates, coaches, family, and top ADHD experts,
GIGANTE inspires hope and motivates others to embrace their challenges
and never give up on their dreams.
Join William H.C. Chang, a Giants principal owner, Chusy Haney-Jardine,
a Sundance-award-winning film director, and event emcee Gina Pera at
this not-to-be missed celebratory evening.

San Francisco by Night Tour
|

LIVE, from San Francisco. . . it's SATURDAY
NIGHT!
Join your friends aboard a luxury tour bus for
a tour of San Francisco by Night! Board your bus at 6:00 pm at the
headquarters hotel and meet your tour guide. Enjoy white wine and
antipasto on the bus as you see the highlights of the City by the Bay,
including the Golden Gate Bridge, the Presidio and the Palace of Fine
Arts, among so many other sights. Picture opportunities will be
available at several locations. At 8:15 the bus will arrive in
North Beach, San Francisco's Little Italy. Those who would like to
have dinner there will be a dropped off and picked up in the same
location at 10:00 for return to the hotel. (Those who prefer not
to get off the bus in North beach will be returned to the hotel by 9:00
pm.) For the partiers in the group who wish to stay in North Beach
and return to the hotel later via transportation on your own, the tour
guide will be available by cell phone for the rest of the
night to answer any questions, provide directions,
etc. until all have returned to the hotel. To help
you select a restaurant and to make a reservations, a list of
restaurants is posted below with a link to each restaurant.
