Other Ways to Support CHADD

Estate and Financial Planning: A way to lend support for CHADD is through planned gifting through your estate and financial planning. You may choose to designate CHADD in your will or trust, with CHADD as a third, fourth or fifth beneficiary once your family’s financial needs and beneficiary preferences are met. CHADD can be made a percentage-based beneficiary. A simple addendum to a will or trust can include CHADD as a beneficiary. For more information, you should consult with your legal and tax advisers. Gifts of Securities:  A gift of appreciated securities held for more than a year may bring about important benefits to you as a contributor to CHADD. You are entitled to a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the gifted securities as of the date of the gift. You eliminate capital gains tax that would have become due if you had sold the appreciated securities on the open market and donated the proceeds from the sale to charity. Your charitable deduction can be claimed against up to 30 percent of your adjusted gross income and any unused deductions can be carried forward over the next five years.
