Giving Opportunities in Support of CHADD
There are many ways to donate in support of our efforts
to help people affected by ADHD. Please click on any of the following to
learn more and make a donation online, by phone, fax, or by mail.
1. How to
Donate: Please click here for online
and other donation information. To donate by mail, send payment
to: CHADD, 8181 Professional Place, Suite 150, Landover, MD
20785.
2. General
Contributions: Your gift will lend
important, tangible support to the spectrum of programs, services, and
operations of CHADD.
3. Tributes
and Memorials: In this way, you can
celebrate accomplishments, anniversaries, and birthdays of a family
member, coworker, or other person in a personalized way. You can also
commemorate the memory of a loved one or friend through a memorial
donation.
4. President’s
Council: Founded in 2001, the CHADD President’s
Council accepts annual membership donations of $5,000 and higher to
support specific CHADD educational projects that might not otherwise be
possible and general operations. The Council currently supports
CHADD's Parent to Parent program and the Educator’s
Manual on ADHD. The Council holds an annual dinner meeting
at CHADD's annual International Conference on
ADHD. Click here for President's Council application.
The Professional Circle is for donors of $1,000 to $4,999 and is
designed for healthcare providers and others who wish to support the
programs of the President's Council. Click here for Professional Circle application.
5. Workplace Giving: Through workplace giving
programs, such as United Way, the Combined Federal Campaign (CHADD
number 11773; federal employees should use this number when pledging
their CFC workplace giving donations to CHADD), and many other state
government, municipal, corporate and institutional employee campaigns,
people can designate CHADD to receive payroll gifts or
deductions. Typically these programs enroll employees in the fall
and winter, with deductions beginning in January. Donors should ask
their employers or human-resource departments whether they have
matching donation programs. Often employers will match charitable
donations dollar for dollar.

6. Matt
Cohen Membership Support Fund: Named
in honor of former CHADD President Matthew Cohen, this fund provides the
means whereby people who need access to CHADD programs and services but
cannot afford to join, can apply to receive a one-year individual
membership provided by CHADD without charge to them. This is part of
CHADD outreach and needs annual replenishment.
7. Young
Scientist Research Fund: This emerging
endowment was established by CHADD to raise funds to encourage and
reward innovative research by new medical and scientific practitioners
or graduate students about ADHD. The awards are presented
at CHADD's annual International Conference on ADHD, with an award
stipend presented to each
scholar/researcher.
