ASSESSMENT
Clinicians are often confused about the most appropriate and efficient way of conducting an ADHD evaluation for adults. This training will address methods and key considerations in conducting a comprehensive and credible ADHD evaluation in adults.
PSYCHOSOCIAL TREATMENT
Adolescents and adults with ADHD face ongoing challenges over the life span to gain control over their disorder in school, work, social, and daily adaptive functioning. This training will discuss some cognitive, behavioral, and attitudinal strategies to help make a successful transition into adulthood and to help optimize the long term outcomes for those with ADHD. This training will also discuss a general philosophical approach to the psychosocial treatment of ADHD in adults including education about the disorder, use of compensatory behavioral strategies, psychological therapies, other self management/practical coping strategies, coaching, and advocacy.
