Anywhere from one third to one half of children with ADHD have a comorbid disorder. Many of these children and adoelescents present with severe aggression, moodiness or diffculty relating to others. Clinical tools for sorting out varied and complex symptoms will be discussed, as well as a framework for developing a treatment plan.

| Learning Objectives: | Differential Diagnosis and Treatment for Complex ADHD with Conduct, Bipolar, and Explosive Disorders:
1. Review basic principles of differential diagnosis of ADHD.
2. Discuss the history of how clincial thinking about childhood mania has evolved over the last decade.
3. Discuss the use of rating scales to assess depressive, anxiety and manic symptoms.
4. Understand how aggression may be associated a variety of diagnoses.
5. Discuss the selection of treatment options based on symptoms and functioning.
