Young Scientist Research Fund Awards - Program Suspended for
2010
Update (JANUARY 7,
2010): We regret that no Young Scientist
Research Fund Awards will be offered in 2010. CHADD
plans to resume the Young Scientist Research Fund
Awards program in 2011, after replenishment of the
program's endowment fund. We hope to use 2010 as a year to build up
the fund so that we may once again offer these unique awards in
2011. If you would like to contribute to the Young
Scientist Research Fund, please log in to the CHADD Web
site and Donate Now.
Congratulations to
our 2009 Award
Recipients!
CHADD's Young Scientist Research Fund Awards
recognize researchers new the AD/HD field who are making
contributions to the understanding of AD/HD. Through the Fund,
CHADD supports several researchers with:
an unrestricted cash award
(historically $5,000)
recognition at CHADD's Annual
Interntional Conference
an allowance to cover most conference
related expenses (travel, hotel, registration)
a one-year CHADD professional
membership.
Applicants must be in the process of completing a doctoral degree or
must have completed such a degree within the last three years. Research
may address any area relevant to AD/HD, including, but not limited to:
biological/genetic underpinnings of the disorder; treatment efficacy;
impact on the individual or family; school or workplace accommodations;
social stigma and discrimination; public health; and epidemiology.
The Award Fund has been supported through generous funding from
McNeil Pediatrics Division of Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
and by a number of individual donations. CHADD is grateful to all
contributors to the Young Scientist Research Fund.
If you have any questions regarding the Young Scientist Research
Fund Awards, please contact Myra Cushman at 800-233-4050, ext.
