James Carville to Speak at CHADD’s 20th
Anniversary Gala
at this Year’s Annual Conference
WASHINGTON – CHADD announced today that James Carville will
keynote the 20th Anniversary Gala on Nov. 8 at CHADD’s Annual
International Conference. The conference will be held this year in
Crystal City, Va., near the nation’s capital.
“Mr. Carville is perhaps one of the best-known people in
Washington, and he lives with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
(AD/HD),” said E. Clarke Ross, CHADD CEO. His speech is
certain to be lively and inspirational.”
Carville successfully managed senatorial and gubernatorial campaigns
across the country. But he is perhaps best known for helping lead a
little-known Arkansas governor to the White House. It was
Carville’s successful leadership in the “War Room” of
William Jefferson Clinton’s campaign that led to an Academy
Award-winning documentary on the subject.
Carville’s presence will add a bit of celebrity to one of the
organization’s signature events that is designed to celebrate its
20th anniversary. Some of CHADD’s leading researchers, volunteers,
members of the Hall of Fame, as well as people affected by AD/HD are
expected to attend the Gala.
The public can register for conference by going to www.chadd.org. Those interested in
attending only the gala can find more information on the conference
section of the CHADD Web site.
CHADD, with 14,000 members and 200 chapters nationwide, is one of the
nation’s largest family-based organizations serving people
affected by AD/HD.
