The CHADD Educator’s Manual on AD/HD, 2006 2nd edition, was made possible by the financial support of the CHADD President’s Council and other supporters.
This 160-page comprehensive and practical manual
may be even more popular than the first edition printed in 1992.

“During the development of this manual, we sought
input from researchers, veteran classroom teachers
and parents,” says mental health and educational
consultant Chris A. Zeigler Dendy, M.A., who
served as editor and project chair.  “It is our hope
that this book will be a practical resource offering
concrete strategies that teachers will use frequently.”

The manual is being mailed in the first stage this
fall to public middle and junior high schools and
senior high schools.  The next stage in spring 2007
will be mailing to elementary schools.  An in-service
training module for teachers, PTA’s and CHADD
affiliate presentations is also planned for next year.

The manual price is $14.95 plus S&H, and CHADD

The publication covers a wide spectrum, including
diagnosis and treatment, key academic issues, establishing a strong foundation in the early years, avoiding the “Brick Wall” in middle and high school, key issues impacting students with AD/HD, and model programs including promising practices in education.
