Title: fMRI Neuroimaging Project
Location: New York, NY

The aim of this project is to learn more about the causes of certain illnesses, particularly ADHD, that affect the nervous systems of children and adults.

Study Criteria: The age range for our study includes children between the ages of 6 and 17 and adults between the ages of 18 and over. In general, we are always looking for children and adults with Tourette's and/ or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder as well. Study Information: This study is conducted at the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI) of Columbia University in New York, NY. During your day at NYSPI, our study is separated into three sections. The first is clinical interviews which include questions about medical and psychological history. Secondly, a psychologist will administer neuropsychological tests such as memory and learning games. Finally, and most important to our study is the MRI scan. The scan will take about 1.5 hours in total and involves performing a simple task while you lie in the MRI machine.

Compensation:

There are no costs for these tests and a small payment of $120 is available to participants. The total time estimated to complete the study is 5-6 hours.
