AD/HD and Memory: Behavior and Brain Imaging Studies |

Study participants must be Maryland/DC residents.
Were conducting a brain imaging study on ADHD and working memory in
children ages 8-13 who have the Inattentive Type of ADHD.
Participants will:
- receive a psychological (IQ) evaluation
- perform memory tasks (while we use brain imaging to learn how
children use their brain to memorize information)
- be compensated for their time (parents will also be
compensated)
Children with ADHD-Inattentive Type may show the following symptoms:
- Trouble maintaining attention for extended periods of time
- Daydreaming, getting lost in their thoughts
- Forgetfulness in their daily activities, losing things easily
- Drowsiness, sluggishness, lack of energy
- Difficulty following through and completing tasks they start
- Appearing not to be listening when spoken to
- Easily distracted by things going on around them or easily
confused
