Home Especially For New
Are you "New to AD/HD"?
Perhaps you are a parent whose child is
having difficulty in school and you don't know what to do?
Maybe you're an adult who has just been
diagnosed with AD/HD and now you want to learn more?
Or perhaps you're a young psychologist who is
looking for resources to share with clients with AD/HD?
No matter how you categorize yourself,
attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder affects countless individuals
and families in even more countless ways. CHADD and the National Resource
Center on AD/HD have a wealth of information and resources to help
you find what you're looking for and get you the answers you need.
To help get you started, you should know that CHADD has
two websites: www.chadd.org and www.help4adhd.org. The
first has information about CHADD as an organization: membership,
conferences, training programs, public policy, and so forth. Some
sections of the CHADD site are for members only. The second,
funded through CHADD's partnership with the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention, will tell you all you want to know about AD/HD:
diagnosis, treatment options, eductional resources, books (through the
NRC library), etc. The following chart will help guide you further
as you begin your search to get your questions answered.
If you can't find what you're looking for, contact
CHADD or ask a question about AD/HD.
