We use Parachat's software application for our Ask the Expert
chats. Ten (10) minutes before the chat is scheduled to begin,
this page will look different. Simply follow the instructions below and
the chat software application will be available.
To join the chat, please follow these instructions:
1. Scroll down until you see a box to enter a nickname. (If you don't
see a box, refresh this page with your browser).
2. In the box, type your nickname (this will identify you and allow
you access to the chat).
3. Press connect.
4. "Ask the Expert" Parachat applet will open.*
5. The chat Expert and Moderators will already be logged in. To
participate, simply watch the discussion as questions and answers are
posted. If you have a question, type in the box and then hit "ask."
NOTE: All questions are submitted
to the Moderator and Speaker first, so you won't see your
question posted immediately. We will try to get through as many
questions as possible. Your question may be edited for clarity.
If you are a member of CHADD, you will be able to access the chat
transcript one week after the chat is over.
